So I’ve been playing guitar now for about 3 years (I think), and I’m starting to have some aspirations with this thing. Trust me I’m an MC at heart and always will be, but sometimes I sit and watch certain bands on Youtube and thing “hey that looks mad cool son.” I must admit I have a secret (or not so secret) fantasy about being a rock star, perhaps that being the reason I started playing guitar in the first place.
I was having a conversation with my girlfriend earlier about me possibly starting a band in the future. Not going to lie, the thought scares the hell out of me. I mean where do I start? It’s funny because going on stage and rapping seems second nature to me nowadays, but the idea of bringing those six strings on stage and actually playing is crazy to me. I even let her in on some of the ideas I had for band names (one of which she immediately shot down). We’ll have to see if the name sticks around and actually sees the light of day.
As for now, Mr. Kash will have to stay an aspiring rap star, but theres no telling what the future will hold. I’ve been listening to far too much Arcade Fire lately.
